PHOTOSHOP
Be sure to scan your image at a high enough resolution,
we recommend that drum or slide scans are used for best
results.
400 dpi at a quarter size is fine or 100dpi at full size.
Be sure to flatten layers and save in CMYK mode.
Files can be saved as: Photoshop.eps or Tiff files (Jpegs
when sending via ISDN). |

ILLUSTRATOR
or FREEHAND
Work at a sensible scale, no less than a 1/4 size, (100%
scale is recommended).
All fonts need to be outlined / converted to paths and
saved as an EPS file |

QUARK
XPRESS
Make sure your document is set up in proportion to the
final size required,
1/4 scale is normally OK for most files.
We recommend making up any kind of montage in Photoshop
as opposed to Quark to keep all the scans at the same
resolution. Also this will reduce the overall print file
size if you are using lots of scans. It is important to
update all your modified pictures and check in picture
usage that everything is OK.
Dont use Quark to make bold, italics or other effects
for fonts use the correct bold or italic fonts.
Please only supply us with the relevant Quark files that
you want printed, and a hardcopy proof or PDF of the files
you want. If you supply us with incorrect or unnecessary
Quark files it may cause confusion and you may not receive
what you require. |
