MDF (Medium Density Fibreboard) has long been regarded as one of the most versatile materials for display boards since it is hardwearing, can be shaped and sized easily, provides a smooth finish free of the imperfections of wood and, once the surface has been whitened, can accept the direct printing of high resolution full-colour images.

Correx is the perfect material for short-term displays. This ultra-light yet durable polypropylene plastic display board is weatherproof, printable, cost-effective and recyclable. Used for outdoor display boards Correx will last for around six months but for indoor exhibition display boards it may last longer, and its light weight makes it ideal for easily cutting to shape and for fixing to a wall in a variety of ways.

DiBond is an aluminium composite sheet material that is light but hardwearing and provides a stylish brushed aluminium finish which can be directly printed upon. DiBond lends display boards a touch of class and is ideal for longer-term display purposes as it won’t crack or rust.

Foamboard is a lightweight, fire resistant and durable polystyrene-based display board that can be cut easily into irregular shapes making it well suited for use in exhibition display boards. Directly printable, this rigid display board is equally suited to wall-mounted or freestanding displays.

Foamex board shares many of the properties of Foamboard but is PVC based which makes it more rigid and durable. Foamex board has become the display board of choice in recent years thanks to its light weight, superior finish for printing on and the ease with which it can be cut to shape, finished and mounted.
